Great Farm Radios
I bought 4 of Retevis RA87 for the trucks and combines. They are very easy to install although the stick on mic holders did not hold. In flat to rolling hills we had no problem reaching out 10 miles with good quality. The elevator is 7 miles away in the bottom of a ravine and I could always reach the truck driver. The speaker is not loud enough at times if there is any background noise. I'm very happy with these radios and will buy again.---Megan Milton

I get this Radio a couple of weeks ago so have had time to play with it. It does have a bit of a learning curve because it has DMR but reading the manual and watching a few videos I'm now able to program it and use it as intended. Nice coverage for outdoors communications!
We bought a few of these to handle field operations in a Farm. The farm is for crops and pretty open with a few tree wind barriers and a couple of 100 ft tall hills. Great emergency communication Repeater
This repeater works out of the box. Power and hopefully a good antenna and location. Altitude of your antenna is essential. You are only getting about 5 watts out of the transmitter and duplexer. But no complaints. You get this unit high enough and you can attain really decent coverage. It would have been nice if they put a station identifier into the unit but it's really for quick and ready communications. Worth a buy. I hear a new version coming out soon...---Janell
