P25 and DMR two-way radios

P25 and DMR two-way radios are two different system radios. All are the standard used for two-way radios and walkie-talkies.

Here I will talk about these two different radio systems.

P25

It is the digital standard for public safety using a two-way radio system. So P25 radios will offer very high-level encryption, trunking formats, GPS, and over-the-air programming combined in industry-wide accepted formats. So use by federal, state, and local public safety agencies.
P25 radios can work with other P25 standard two-way radios even from different manufacturers. So you generally see P25 walkie-talkies in police, fire, and other public safety departments

And P25 is usually used in North America.

DMR

A common system for two-way radios. It is also a digital radio standard for professional mobile radio PMR. In the market, you will find lots of models with the DMR system.
Like the Retevis RT3S, RT81, and RT29D. Even the Ham Radio Ailunce HD1 also uses the DMR system.

 Retevis DMR radios

This system can be used worldwide. and can be used for commercial and government organizations. Compare to the analog mode radio, DMR radios offer better voice and data features.

Someone will ask, I want to get a radio that has both P25 and DMR in one device, where to order?
As I know until now, there is no model on the market right now. But maybe further will have I can't be sure.

Compare the P25 and DMR, you will find P25 radios will be more expensive than DMR Radios. So DMR is more cost-effective.
