Amateur Radio, also called ham radio, is a popular hobby and service that brings people, electronics, and communication together.
People use ham radio to talk, to communicate, to connect.
Amateur radio is a two-way communication method. At first glance, it looks like the walkie-talkie we usually use, but there's more to it. Amateur radios do a lot more than two-way radios can.
In addition to being able to communicate locally like a walkie-talkie, ham radio can also be used to bounce signals off the ionosphere, the layer of free electrons and ions in Earth's atmosphere due to incoming solar radiation. Because this layer is higher than the Earth's surface, these reflective layers can be used to bounce signals over long distances, making amateur radio a worldwide method of communication.

Unlike ordinary walkie-talkies, ham radios also allow for multiple modes of communication: typically voice, continuous wave (CW), or digital.
Voice mode is probably the most obvious; each operator speaks into a microphone. However, in voice modes, there is amplitude modulation (AM), frequency modulation (FM), and single sideband (SSB), all of which mix the operator's voice into a high frequency and send the signal elsewhere the operator. The operator's radio would then remove the high frequencies and the audio would come through their speakers.
CW mode is a method of sending Morse code. Morse code is simply the agreed-upon collection of "ta" and "ta" used to make letters and words, while CW is an oscillator switch that sends tones when turned on. In other words, CW is the original digital mode, "on" produces a tone, and "off" produces no sound at all. CW is still very popular because it tends to be heard more easily through noise.
Digital Modes are also very popular and are skyrocketing every year. You will find different digital mode radios in the market. Like the DMR, P25, etc.
In the early days of amateur radio, it was a way of communicating with the rest of the world. Before the internet and smartphones, it was difficult to converse with someone from across the country or even from a different country. Amateur radio solved this problem by allowing communication over long distances for reasons including current events, geographic exploration, and cultural studies.
Now we are selling handheld ham radio Ailunce HD1, MMDVM Hotspot, Mobile Ham radio RT73, and the ham radio RT3S.
