RT40 is the First DMR handheld Radio. Also, it is a license-free PMR446 radio.

As we know, PMR446, the private mobile radio with 446 MHz is a license-free service. Lots of people know the analog mode PMR446 band radio, like our models RT622, and RT668.  But they don't know the PMR446 license-free also has the digital mode license-free radio.  RT40 is it.

For PMR446 It operates in the 446mhz frequency range and with the open digital mobile radio standard.  Its compact design and easy-to-operate buttons make it the ideal radio for day-to-day business.

1, Select the zone

A zone is a group of channels. Because digital mode radios can store lots of channels, so zone will help you to manage these channels.
RT40 with 16 zones, and each zone has 16 channels. You may select the zone by its side button. You should pre-programming the Zone switch key first.

When you choose the zone, you may select the channel. Rotate the channel knob to select the channel you want, then press the PTT to transmit.

2, Group calls and private calls For Digital PMR46 radio RT40

Digital mode radios can easily make group calls and private calls. Put all your team members into one group, and choose this group as your contact list. Then you all can make group calls easily.

Private call means one-to-one talk.

3, Encryption for Retevis RT40

Encryption is the end-to-end encryption of voice. You may set the encryption type by its programming software. The same model radios with the same encryption number can talk with each other.

It will get a more private and safer communication than the analog mode radio.

4, Alarm Function

RT40 walkie-talkie has the Lone worker function.

Lone worker alarm that efficiently ensures employee safety when working alone in dangerous environments, such as underground exploration.
