Clydegreat radioReviewed on Dec 20,2022I own a number of DMR portables, but this is my first dual-bander. The HD1/GPS has the look and feel of a solid Motorola radio and I'm sure that's no coincidence. For the money, you get the full VHF and UHF bands, narrow or wideband, there's the capability of entering post-narrowbanding 2.5KHz steps which is useful for business or public safety frequencies. Many features can be programmed right from the keyboard. There's 10 Watts to play with, it is kinda waterproof. Overall a really capable radio in a very affordable package. I've used it on many DMR and analogue repeater both wideband (amateur) and narrowband business and it performs flawlessly. OK, so what's wrong with it? No DTMF on the keyboard, an annoying missed message screen on DMR and a less than stable Windows client. Those are the only issues I've encountered and I feel confident they could fix most if not all of them with a firmware upgrade and a new revision of the client software.Overall, it is the best and most capable DMR radio I own.Denis Egreat radioReviewed on Dec 20,2022I checked out the reviews for this DMR radio and the reviews are excellent. It is easy to program even without a software program on your computer. Battery life is great. You have to use a charger, you can't charge without it. The use distance is very long. I can reach about 5 kilometers in the city.
