How to set up the wired copy function of RA87?

This feature allows to send stored information and setup data to another radio.

Let's assume that the radio that you want to send data to is the main unit and the radio that you want to receive data from is the secondary unit.

Please follow the steps below: 

1. Connect the two radios through the DATA jack using the copy cable CL-900.

2.Turn the main unit off and the secondary unit on.

3. Simultaneously press and hold the main unit [CALL/TONE]. [MHZ/SET] and power button to turn on the power, display

"CLONE", the wired copy function is activated.

4. Press the main unit [MHZ/SET], the main unit displays "CLONING", the secondary unit displays "CLONE RX".

"CLONE RX", indicating that it has entered the copying state: the progress of copying is displayed at the same time.

The number in the upper right corner of "CLONING" indicates the number of successful copying.

5、After the host reaches 100, the copying is finished and "CLONE OK" is displayed.

"After 1 second, "CLONE" will be displayed again, indicating that it enters the replication preparation state again.

The display will return to "CLONE" after 1 second, indicating that it is ready for replication again.

6. When the copying progress number of the vice machine reaches 100, the copying is finished, and it will automatically reboot the machine.

7. If an error occurs during copying, the display will show "CLONE FAIL".

Please check whether the connection cable and model are correct, etc., and then try again.

8.If you want to continue the copying of the next unit, please turn off the power of the secondary unit, unplug the transmission cable, replace the secondary unit, turn on the power, and then try again.

Replace the secondary unit, turn on the power, and repeat steps 4, 5, and 6. To exit the replication state, turn off the radio.
